Nicholas was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in September 2024. During his eight months of treatment at Hasbro Children’s Hospital, Nicholas underwent six cycles of intensive chemotherapy. He also had limb salvage surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital, followed by months of physical therapy. Last November, Nicholas relapsed, underwent spinal surgery, and began radiation while resuming chemotherapy.

Nicholas’ Wish Come True was an unforgettable Celtics experience. Nicholas sat courtside at a Boston Celtics game when Celtics guard Payton Pritchard came over to meet him, sign memorabilia, and take photos. Nicholas was absolutely stunned. This magical wish was sponsored by the Polar Plunge, showing how our community comes together to grant once-in-a-lifetime moments of joy, hope, and connection for wish families.

We are so grateful for the Boston Celtics organization’s incredible support. Their commitment flows from the front office, through the team, to individual players who make special time to spend with our Wish Kids. It is amazing to see the tremendous impact that it has on each of them and their families. It is an opportunity of a lifetime, and we couldn’t be more thankful for the Celtics’ support!
