Matthew is a bright and energetic 4-year-old who has already faced more challenges than most do in a lifetime. Diagnosed with Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EOE) and Dysphagia, Matthew has undergone over a dozen surgeries. His condition affects his ability to eat, and at one point, he required full-time oxygen support. Thanks to his resilience, he's now able to be on oxygen only part time.
Despite these hurdles, Matthew never lets his diagnosis slow him down. His spirit shines through in everything he does. He loves building LEGO creations, painting colorful masterpieces, and getting creative with kinetic sand. Matthew's favorite animal is a dog, and he's a huge fan of the Boston Red Sox. But more than anything, he cherishes spending time with his mom at the Children's Museum.
Matthew's biggest wish is to go to Give Kids the World Village, a magical place where kids like him can meet their favorite characters and just be kids. He dreams of making unforgettable memories with his mom, his sister, and his grandmother.
