Amalya

Amalya’s inspiring medical journey began when she was born at 36 weeks and diagnosed with Spina Bifida. Shortly after birth, she bravely underwent spinal surgery and had a VP shunt placed. Since then, she has been working closely with a physical therapist for over ten years, showing incredible dedication and strength every step of the way.

Now a teenager, Amalya is a joyful, smart, kind, and funny young woman who doesn’t let her diagnosis define her. She loves being part of her school’s cheer team and drama club, and she’s already counting down the days until she can learn to drive. Amalya knows she’ll need special training to drive with hand controls—but that’s just another goal she’s ready to tackle with determination.

Amalya and her family are filled with excitement as they look forward to her wish to visit Give Kids The World—a magical place where they can create unforgettable memories together. Her positive spirit and unstoppable attitude make her wish even more special.
